Herald Coaster, July 13, 1997: Funeral services for Charlotte Hedt, 98, of Needville, will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 9018 Church St., Needville. The Rev. George Kuebler will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Charlotte Ann Schwetttmann was born June 17, 1899 in Washington County, Tx. to parents, Henry and Minnie Schwettmann. She died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at SPJST Rest Home in Needville. She was a longtime Needville resident and member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Her husband, Otto Hedt, and son, Raymond Hedt, preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, Melvin Hedt of Needville, Marvin Hedt and wife, Mildred, of Sugar Land, and Gilbert Hedt of Rosenberg; four sisters, Louise Jeske, Erna Sury, Leola Schmidt, and Hilda Kalinowski, all of Needville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ. Visitation begins 5 p.m. Sunday at the Garmany & Carden Chapel in Needville. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Dirs., Inc., 3103 School St., Needville, Tx. (409) 793-4515.
