Bio

Rosenberg Herald, December 10, 1926: Wednesday, while riding on a wagon loaded with cotton, Henry Schwettmann Jr., was thrown from the wagon when some rough road was encountered. One of the bales of cotton also fell on top of the young man, causing fatal injuries. The accident occurred in the early part of the afternoon. Medical attention was immediately secured, but without avail; the young man died about 8 p.m. The deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schwettmann, and several sisters and brothers. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.R. Vilt and the body was laid to rest in the Methodist Cemetery Thursday afternoon, December 2, at 2:30 p.m.
