Bio
Cap moved to Crofton in 1911 and remaining on the farm. Cap died from cancer at the nursing home in Hartington, NE. Cap always made sure he had a pack of gum in his pocket for any kids who happened to stopped by. Plantenberg History- Mary Ann (Wendell) Emanuel C.J. Plantenberg Crofton, Nebr.-Casper J. Plantenbert, 75, Crofton, died Sunday at a nursing home in Hartington.Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton. The Rev. Timothy Lange will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Wintz Funeral Home at Crofton. The rosaries will be recited at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Plantenberg was born September 21, 1903, at Aloys, Neb. He moved to Crofton in 1911 where he farmed. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors include four brothers, John of Columbus, Wis.,Herman of Crofton, Art of Miami Beach, Fla., and Emil of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph(Martha)Emanuel of North Bend, Neb., and Mrs. Fred (Bernadine) Alameda of San Jose, Calif.
