The Odessa American November 21, 1992 CHILDRESS - Services for Elzy Frank Kindle, 85, of Childress are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McCurley officiating. Burial will be in Olympus Cemetery. Mr. Kindle died Thursday at his residence. He was born March 7, 1907 in Olympus. He married Ida Mardis on February 17, 1927, in Childress. She died September 25, 1991. Mr. Kindle was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a retired farmer and rancher. He worked for Childress Independent School District for 40 years. Survivors include three daughters, Alma Morton of Amarillo, Marlene Mitchell of Childress and Janelle McGee of Odessa; four sons, Wendell Kindle, Mike Kindle and Ronnie Kindle, all of Amarillo and Stanley Kindle of Bryan; a brother, Syl Kindle of Gilmore; a sister, Ivy Lankford of Modesto, California; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
