Longview News-Journal Saturday, December 8, 2001 GILMER -Services for Sylvester "Ken" Kindle, 101, of Gilmer will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2001, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Brother Jim Eason officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park on Monday, December 10, 2001. Mr. Kindle died Thursday, December 6, 2001, in Gilmer. He was born November 1, 1900, in Mount Sylvan. He was retired from the oilfield, where he had worked for Sells Petroleum. Mr. Kindle had resided in this area since 1971, moving from Gladewater when he retired. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters and a son-in-law Helen Kindle of Gilmer and Joy and Wayne Stanford, also of Gilmer; his grandchildren and their spouses, Wayne, Jr. and Linda Stanford of Luling, Debra Wilkins of Gladewater Pam and Don Kelly of Gilmer, Cindy and Bobby Williams of Longview, Brenda and Mark Jobe of White Oak and Billy and Betty Joe Sanford of Spring Hill; his great-granchildren, Dana, Jeremy, Kim, Adam, Brandy, Kasia, Joe, Ryan, Zeth, Stacy and Hunter, three step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. Mr. Kindle also had numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends. Dad, Pops, Grandpa and Ken will be missed by all his family and friends. Mr. Kindle was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Emma; son Murl Bryan Kindle; infant son Pascal Kindle; his parents, Frank and Betty Kindle; and 11 brothers and sisters. Also preceding him in death was his second wife, Edna Cates Kindle. Pallbearers will be Adam Stanford, Jeremy Wilkins, Bobby Williams, Don Kelly, Wayne Sanford, Jr. and Billy Stanford. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2001, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Angie Mitchell Martin
