Icy Evelyn Lankford, 85, of Modesto, died Monday at Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital. Mrs. Lankford was a native of Texas. She lived in Modesto 60 years. She was a cannery worker for Campbell's Soup Company for 20 years. She is survived by her children, Frank Lankford, Jack Lankford and Nora C. Nuse, all of Modesto, Marvin Lankford of Burney and Alfred Lankford of Arizona; a brother, Sylvester Kindle of Gilmer, Texas and 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs is in charge of arrangements.
