Thanks to FindAGrave member Carolyn Brinkmeyer for the following information: Herald Coaster, December 2, 1962: Funeral services for Vojt Stavinoha, Sr., 80, were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 27, from the Triska Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, followed by requiem mass at the Holy Rosary Church, with Rev. J.J. Tydlacka officiating. Mr. Stavinoha was a native of Fayette County. He was married to Miss Olga Vacek in 1904 and they moved to Fort Bend County in 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Stavinoha celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1954. Mr. Stavinoha was a member of the Needville KJT Society. He passed away at his home in Rosenberg, following a short illness. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Olga Stavinoha of Rosenberg; four sons, Evan and Vojt Jr. of Fairchild, Lad of Needville, and Al of Rosenberg; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Gurecky of Fairchild, and Mrs. Viola Hundl and Mrs. Eleanor Ernest of Rosenberg; 32 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Adolph of Temple, Jim of San Antonio, Joe of Ganado, and George of LaGrange; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hluchanek and Mrs. Della Kristek of Weimar, Mrs. Martha Bohac of Ammannsville, and Mrs. Lillie Horak of Needville. Pallbearers were Leonard Gurecky, Ivan S. Stavoniha, James Stavinoha, Benny Stavinoha, Joe Gurecky, Laddie Gurecky, Dennie Stavinoha, and Robert Myska. Interment was in the West Garden of Gethsemane. Triska Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
