Sophie Henriette Schwarz was baptized June 16, 1901, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Bern, Williamson County, Texas, and she was confirmed in March 1915 at St. John Lutheran Church in Detmold, Milam County, Texas. Sophie Schwarz married Emil Ernst Richter on November 25, 1920. OBITUARY FROM THE TAYLOR DAILY NEWS: Mrs. Sophie Richter of 909 W. Fifth Street in Taylor died in a local hospital this afternoon at 12:30 o'clock. She was born March 21, 1901, near Taylor. For the past two years she had lived in Taylor, prior to that she had resided in Thorndale. Services have been set for Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the Detmold Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leo Simon will officiate. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hubert Polzin of Taylor; six sisters, Mrs. Louise Lange of Taylor, Mrs. Annie Zieschang of Taylor, Mrs. Frieda Becker of Thorndale, Mrs. Mary Pasemann of Taylor, Mrs. Beatrice Kerlin of Austin and Mrs. Clara Kerlin of Taylor; five brothers, Fritz Schwarz and Willie Schwarz of Thorndale, Henry Schwarz of Fabens, Charlie Schwarz of Taylor and Louis Schwarz of Taylor.
