Louis Wilhelm Schwarz was baptized October 15, 1903, in St. John Lutheran Church in New Bern, Williamson County, Texas. Louis Schwarz married Erna Selma Hengst on November 24, 1927. ******************************************************************************* OBITUARY FROM THE TAYLOR DAILY NEWS: Louis Schwarz Louis Schwarz, 94, of Taylor, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at the SPJST Rest Home. Mr. Schwarz was born Aug. 23, 1903 in the Detmold Community, Texas, the son of Frederick Schwarz and Sophie Wiethorn Schwarz. On Nov. 24, 1927 he was married to Erna Selma Hengst. He was a lifetime resident of the Taylor area. He was a retired farmer and the rental business. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by wife, Erna Schwarz on May 2, 1997; his parents; one son, Eugene; five sisters, and five brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Doris Walther and husband Clarence of Taylor; three grandchildren, Sharon Morris and husband, Paul; Debra Foster and husband, Ed; Clayton Walther and wife, Veronica; seven great-grandchildren, Lisa and Jared Morris, Chelsea and Dallas Foster, Aaron, Jeremy, and Riley Walther; two sisters, Beatrice Kerlin and Clara Kerlin, both of Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 1998 at Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Sandi Wilcox officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor; or charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Condra Funeral Home, Taylor.
