Henry Christian Wilhelm Schwarz was baptized August 11, 1895, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Bern, Williamson County, Texas. Henry Schwarz married Faye Anna Evans on November 23, 1929, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. ******************************************************** OBITUARY FROM THE DEMING HEADLIGHT, Deming, New Mexico, Monday, Feb. 12, 1990 HENRY SCHWARTZ Henry C. Schwartz, 95, longtime area resident died Friday, Feb. 9, at Fort Bayard Medical Center in Fort Bayard. Visitation was this morning at Baca's Funeral Chapels and graveside services were at 2 p.m., today, at Mountain View Cemetery with Pastor Van Bevill with the First Assembly of God Church of Silver City officiating. He was born Nov. 7, 1894, in Taylor, Texas, and had retired as a Customs Officer Collector. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War I. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Allingham Golding Post of the American Legion. Survivors include a son, James Chase Schwartz, San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Marilyn Wright, Silver City; two brothers, Charlie Schwartz and Louie Schwartz, both of Taylor, Texas; three sisters, Beatrice Kerlin, Clara Kerlin and Frieda Becker all of Taylor; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Anna Schwartz. Baca's Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements.
