Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Schwarz was baptized May 31, 1891, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Gay Hill, Washington County, Texas. His baptismal sponsors were Wilhelm Blum, Wilhelm Schwarz, and Wilhelm Wiethorn. William Schwarz was confirmed April 8, 1906, at St. John Lutheran Church in Detmold, Milam County, Texas. William Schwarz married Hedwig (Hattie) Unnasch on January 7, 1917. SCHWARZ, William C. of Thorndale. Age 78. Died 11/21/1969 (Friday) in a Taylor hospital following a brief illness. Services held (Sunday) from St.John Lutheran Church. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. Walter J. Miller, pastor of above church, officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements. He was born 3/20/1891 at Longpoint, TX. in Washington Co., the son of the late Fritz and Sophie Witthorn Schwarz. He moved with his parents to the Detmold area at an early age. Married Miss Hattie K. Unnasch on 1/7/17, she preceded him in death 8/24/67. Following his retirement from business/farming and the death of his wife, he made his home at Sweetbriar Rest Home in Taylor. Lifelong member of St.John Lutheran Church of Thorndale. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. SURVIVORS: 3 sons, Norris Schwarz of Waco; Waldemar (Wally) Schwarz of San Antonio and W.C. (Bill) Schwarz, Jr. of Austin; 5 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Louis Lange, Mrs. Mary Pasemann, Mrs. Clara Kerlin, all of Taylor, Mrs. Frieda Becker of Thorndale and Mrs. Beatrice Kerlin of Austin; 3 brothers, Henry Schwarz of Fabens, Charlie Schwarz and Louis Schwarz both of Taylor; number of nieces and nephews.
