Bio

Mrs. Stasia Sinkule Soukup, age 70, of 609 N. Davis in West died Friday afternoon, April 18, 1983 at her residence. Mrs. Soukup was born April 16, 1912 in McLennan County and had lived in the West area all her life. She was a housewife and worked for Lorch Co. in West from 1958 until 1965 and then for Rose Marie in Hillsboro from 1965 until 1977 when she retired. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and the Catholic Daughters of America and The Altar Society. She married Joe E. Soukup November 9, 1937 in West and he preceded her in death August 8, 1980. She is survived by two sons, Ed Soukup of Houston and Sam Soukup of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Freida Burton of West, Mrs. Mary Sybert of Garland and Mrs. Monica Williams of DeSoto; three brothers, Joe Sinkule of Rt. 2, Abbott, Jerry Sinkule of Rt. 1, West, and Johnnie Sinkule of Rt. 2, Abbott; one sister, Rose Sinkule of West and six grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 1983 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Soukup, Mark Soukup, Joey Soukup, Eugene Rejcek, Tommy Sinkule and David John Sinkule.
