Funeral Services Held Monday For Matt Sinkule, 85 Matt Sinkule, 85, of West, died Saturday afternoon in a Waco rest home. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Church of Assumption at West. Msgr. I.J. Valenta officiated with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Kotch Funeral Chapel at West. Mr. Sinkule was born in Czechoslovakia. He had lived in the West area 56 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic Church. He married Miss Frances Hejl on November 19, 1907, in West. Survivors are his wife; four sons, Jim Sinkule and Jerry Sinkule, both of West, Joe Sinkule and Johnnie Sinkule, both of Hillsboro; four daughters, Miss Rose Sinkule of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Frank Nors, Mrs. Joe Soukup and Miss Lillian Sinkule, all of West; one sister of Czechoslovakia; 24 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Billy Sinkule, James Sinkule, Laddie Nors, and Sammy Soukup, all of West; Edward Soukup of Dallas, and Joe Sinkule, Jr. of Abbott.
