Bio

Rudolph O. Soukup, age 84, of 200 W. Pecan died Saturday, July 1, 1989, in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday by Rev. John Molnar at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. David Leibham as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Soukup was born March 27, 1905, and had lived in West all of his life. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was employed by the West Textile Mill and Fleetwood Trailer Co. for a number of years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Mr. Soukup married Marie Nors, November 12, 1935, in West. Survivors include his wife of West; two daughters, Mrs. William (Mildred) Dokupil of Waco and Mrs. Russell (Ruddie) Anderson, Jr. of Irving; five brothers, A.C. Soukup of West, Ben Soukup, Jim Soukup, Emil Soukup and Walter Soukup, all of Rt. 1, West; four sisters, Annie Kapczynski, Miss Lucille Soukup, Sophie Piscacek and Mrs. Louis (Martha) Rejcek all of West; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Roman Kapczynski, Andrew Perry, Dan Anderson, David Dokupil, T.C. Nors, Darin Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Rejcek, Ernest Nors, Robert Kreder, Earl Ehlers, Dr. Wm. G.
