Last Rites To Be Held Friday For Will Matus Will Matus, 70, of West, died at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday at the Regis Retirement Residence in Waco. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday (today) in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption at West with Rev. Leonard Leddy as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers were Richard Matus, Johnny Girard, Richard Hlavenka, Wilburn Matus, Wesley Mashek and Raymond Matus. Mr. Matus was a retired farmer. He was born at West and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and KJT Lodge No. 31 of West. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Willie A. Matus and Ben Matus, both of West; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Girard of Waco and Mrs. George Kveton of Lorenzo; four brothers, Frank Matus, Rudolph Matus, and Henry Matus, all of West, and Ed Matus of Waco; four sisters, Mrs. Joe Petter of Abbott, Mrs. Otto Hanak, Sr., and Mrs. Frank Pavlas, both of West, and Mrs. Mary Marek of Mesquite; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
