Mrs. William (Albina) Matus, 84, of West, died Saturday night, March 29, 1980 in West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel n West. Survivors include two sons, Willie A. Matus and Ben Matus, both of West; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Helen) Girard of Waco and Mrs. George (Lucille) Kveton of Lorenzo; a brother, Raymond Krenek of Abbott; three sisters, Mrs. Jim (Janie) Mashek and Mrs. Rudolph (Emilie) Matus, both of West, and Mrs. Mary Knezek of Seymour; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were George Kveton, Benny Matus, Johnny Girard, Tommy Girard, Billy Girard and Leo Girard, Jr. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 90, No. 14, Edition 1, Thursday, April 3, 1980, page 4.
