Mrs. Frank (Lillie) Pavlas, 81, of Abbott died Tuesday at West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monsignor George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Pavlas was born April 16, 1904, near West. She had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the KJZT Society No. 11. She was married to Frank Pavalas in 1922. Survivors include her husband of Abbott; two daughters, Mrs. George X (Lillie) Smajstrla of West and Mrs. Richard (Annie) Hlavenka of Abbott; three brothers, Frank Matus and Henry Matus, both of West, and Ed Matus of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Petter and Mrs. Agnes Hanak, both of West, and Mary Marek of Mesquite; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are: Edward Smajstrla, Alfred T. Hlavenka, Sam Polansky, Raymond R.
