Mrs. Mary Marak, 77, Pioneer Citizen, Dies Mrs. Mary Marak, aged 77, died at her home near here on Saturday, July 27, following a short illness. Mrs. Marak was born in Czechoslovakia in 1857. She came to this country with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Stanislav, in 1872, being only 15 years of age at that time. The family settled in this section and, in 1885, she was married to Mr. Frank Marak. Mr. and Mrs. Marak celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on January 31, this being the same house in which Mr. Marak's parents celebrated their golden wedding anniversary forty years ago. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Assumption here at 9:00 o'clock Monday morning, July 29th, with Msgr. Jos. Pelnar officiating. Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Stanislav, Andrew Marak, Joe Stanislav, Rud. Stanislav, R.J. Marak and Rud. Jezek. Survivors are her husband, (sons) Ed and Frank, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. W.C.
