Bio

Mrs. Jerome (Agnes) Lednicky, age 84, of West passed away December 18, 1994, at West Community Hospital. A rosary was recited December 20 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Melvin Dornak. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated December 21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as Celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Lednicky was born January 7, 1910, in Ross, the daughter of Joseph and Anastasia Jaska. She graduated from St. Mary's School. She married Jerome J. Lednicky, Sr., on May 16, 1934, in West. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1985. She was a housewife, homemaker and devoted mother. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was a member of the church P.T.C. Choir, a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 in West, a former Junior Catholic Daughters of America Counselor, a member of the Ross Home Demonstration Club, a member of the West Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and an active supporter of St. Mary's School in West. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph C. Lednicky who died December 26, 1987, and three brothers, John Jaska who died July 27, 1977, Edward Jaska who died December 23, 1979, and Robert Jaska who died March 28, 1992. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerome J. and Lucille Lednicky, Jr. of West, Edward F. and Catherine Lednicky of Houston, and Bernard L. and Carolyn Lednicky of Richmond; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Daniel (Elizabeth) Schiller of Brenham, Mrs. David (Patricia) Patton of Garland, and Ms. Agnes Inman of Hillsboro, Oregon; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lednicky of West; two brothers, Louis Jaska of Ross and Ernest (Bobo) Jaska of West; three sisters, Bessie Hlavaty of Abbott, Mary King of Ross, and Stasie Janek of West; twenty-six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were John Patton, Stephen Patton, Edward Schiller, Lane Inman, Michael Lednicky, Tim Lednicky, Tom Lednicky, Eric Lednicky and John Lednicky. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Lednicky, David Patton, Chris Patton and Josh Inman. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
