Bio
Rosalie L. Kolar, age 90, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2016 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosalie was born September 14, 1925 in West, the daughter of Frank C. and Victoria (Snokhous) Polansky. She attended St. Mary's School. On November 4, 1947 she was united in marriage to Vitus William Kolar in West. Vitus preceded her in death on September 10, 1961. Rosalie worked for Woods Manufacturing for several years, West Community Hospital for over 15 years, West Elementary School and Caritas. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Rosalie was also a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society #11 and Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. She enjoyed praying, quilting, baking kolaches, watching the Dallas Cowboys and drinking Dr. Pepper. She especially loved spending time with her family. Rosalie is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Charlie Kolar and James Kolar; a daughter, Rosalie Marie Kolar; a grandson, Derek Kolar; brothers, Frankie Polansky, John Polansky and George Polansky; and sisters, Frances Polansky, Mary Brem and Ruth Kocurek. Survivors include sons, Raymond Kolar and wife Patricia, Harry Kolar and wife Odilia and Tommy Kolar; daughters, Carolyn Reyes and husband Joe, Mary Jane Sustala and husband Dennis and Lillian Macy and husband Keith; daughters-in-law, Linda Kolar and Karen Kolar; brothers, Alphonse Polansky and Jimmy Polansky; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Chad Kolar, Bryan Kolar, Craig Sustala, Kody Kolar, Jeremy Kolar and Keith Macy Jr. Honorary pallbearers are all her other grandchildren.
