Frances L. Polansky, age 79 of West, passed away October 30, 1998 in Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. A rosary was recited at 5 p.m. November 1, in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. November 2 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Miss Polansky was born on June 29, 1919 in West and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West; St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society; K.J.Z.T. Society #11; and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #829. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie Polansky and John W. Polansky, who died April 24, 1994. Miss Polansky is survived by three brothers, George Polansky and Jimmy Polansky of West; and Alphonse Polansky of San Antonio; three sisters, Mary Brem, Ruth Kocurek and Rosalie Kolar, all of West and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Christopher Helona, David Polansky, Frank Cinek, Raymond Kolar, Ed Klish and Charlie Kolar. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
