Vitus Kolar, 38, Dies In Accident Vitus Kolar, 38, of Rt. 6, Waco was killed shortly before noon Sunday when his pickup truck swerved off a bridge on the South 12th St. Road in Waco and plunged about 12 feet into the water. The bridge is located about two miles south of the Waco city limits on a branch of Flat Creek. Highway Patrolman Henry Kluck said Kolar left home about 11 a.m. and when he did not return his brother, Wesley Kolar, went looking for him. The vehicle Mr. Kolar was driving was loaded with arsenic cotton poison. Kluck said that several of the containers broke and contaminated the water in the creek. He said any cattle that drink the water in that area could be poisoned. An effort was made to inform farmers in the area. Rosary was recited in Wilkerson and Hatch Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Waco, Father Mark Deering officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Mr. Kolar was born at Abbott.
