George C. Jezek, Sr., age 79, of 300 Haven in West, passed away early Wednesday morning February 14, 1990, at West Community Hospital. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Jezek was born January 17, 1911, in McLennan County, the son of Anton and Emilie Jezek. He married Louise Marak on October 23, 1939, in West. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1974. He was an assemblyman for Fleetwood Manufacturing Co. in Waco until he retired in 1972. Prior to that, he was a farmer and merchant in the West area for many years. He was a member of the K.J.T. Lodge No. 31 in West for 61 years. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He is survived by two sons, George C. Jezek, Jr. of Waco, and Anthony Jezek of Austin; one daughter, Paulette Kudelka of Route 1, West; five sisters, Mary Mazanec and Magdeline Muska, both of West, Maj. Josephine Jezek, Lillian Cassidy, and Betty Fazzio, all of Dallas; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Shawn C. Kudelka, Keith A. Jezek, Brian Townley, Michael D. Jezek, Shelley R. Kudelka, and John C. Simcik, III. Honorary pallbearers were Dylan C. Jezek and Evan A. Jezek.
