Bio

Pioneer Resident Taken By Death Mrs. Emillie Jezek, age 77, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Mazanec. Mrs. Jezek had been in ill health for a number of years. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Catholic Church in West, Father E.J. Polcak officiating, assisted by Rev. George Doskocil and Rev. Eugene Braden. Also present in the Sanctuary were Very Rev. E.J. Kerns of Waco, and Rev. Edwin Chess, USAF Chaplin. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Three grandsons, Henry Zapalac, Jr., Richard Jezek, Francis Jezek, and a grand-nephew, Johilie Kubala, served as altar boys. Active pallbearers were six grandsons, Johnnie Marek, Jerry J. Zapalac, Adolph Muska, Edward Mazanec, Joseph Mazanec, and Jimmy Jezek. Surviving are five sons, Frank, Joe, Antone, Jerry, and George Jezek, all of West; seven daughters, Mrs. H. Zapalac, Mrs. J.R. Mazanec, Mrs. A. Muska, all of West, Mrs. E. G. Mazanec of Waco, Route 4, Mrs. Sam Fazzio of Dallas, Mrs. Don Cassidy of Dallas, Miss Josephine Jezek of Waco; one brother, Frank Maly of Ft.
