Bio

Mrs. Vaclav (Annie) Bezdek, 78, of 519 South Harrison in West died Saturday morning in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Bezdek was born in Fayetteville and lived most of her life in the West area. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Daughter of America Court 829 and KJZT Society No. 31. Survivors include three sons, Eddie Bezdek of West, Jim Bezdek of Denton and Raymond Bezdek of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Frances) Jaska of Ross; two brothers, John Zatopek of Abbott and Ed Zatopek of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Gajdosik of West, Mrs. Harold (Lillian) Brooks of Texarkana and Mrs. Joe (Julia) Lowenstein of Houston; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Raymond Jaska, Patrick Jaska, Tommy Bezdek, Paul Bezdek, Jerry Bezdek, Johnny Gajdosik and Keith Bezdek.
