The Hastings Daily Tribune (Hastings, NE), Tuesday, March 15, 1949; pg. 9 Services at Deweese For Mrs. Mazour DEWEESE - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Mazour, 74, long-time resident of this community who died Monday at her home here, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church west of town. The Rev. Gregory Petrus will officiate and burial will be in the Loucky cemetery (sic). The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the McLaughlin Funeral Home at Fairfield. Mrs. Mazour was preceded in death by her husband. ====================== The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, April 7, 1949; pg. 1 THE FAIRFIELD AUXILIARY Mary Anna Svoboda was born December 6, 1875, in Moravia. At the age of six years she came to this country with her parents. In 1893 she was married to Louis Mazour. To this union 5 children were born: 1 daughter, who died in infancy; one daughter, Mrs. Frank T. Hajny; and three sons, Frank of Fairfield and Edward and Enos of Glenville. In 1927 she and her husband went to live with their son, Frank, where they resided until the time of their death. Her husband preceded her in death in 1946. She also leaves to mourn her loss 5 brothers, Joseph of Deweese; John and Adolph of Lawrence; Edward of Glenvil; and Theodore of Fairbury, Nebr.
