Bio

"Enos Svoboda, whose illness we mentioned in last week's paper died Friday night after suffering from obstruction of the bowels for thirty hours. His death coming so suddenly is especially sad to the wife and children, as his health had always been good and he a hard-working industrious man. He was loved by his neighbors for his good principles and upright dealings with his fellowman and the grief of his death is shared with the bereaved family by the entire neighborhood. He was past forty years of age and had lived in this vicinity for twenty-five years. His mother is Mrs. Anton Svoboda who now owns and resides on the John Riley farm. Father Fleckinger had charge of the funeral services at the Bohemian church northeast of town Sunday last. -- Lawrence From Lawrence Locomotive." The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 20, 1905; pg. 5
