The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, May 4, 1922; pg. 2 SWOBODA (sic) —BLAHA Miss Mary Blaha of Fairfield and Mr. Edward Swoboda (sic) of Shelton, Nebraska were married at the St. Cecelia Church at Hastings, Tuesday May 2nd. The bride, who is a niece of Mr. A. F. Hoydar , is well known in Fairfield, having made her home in this vicinity. They left by auto for a short trip, after which they will make their home on a farm near Shelton, Nebr. ======================== The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE), Thursday, September 18, 1958; pg. 1 Services for Glenvil Farmer Held at Deweese Services for Edward Svoboda, 69, Glenvil farmer who died late Saturday at the Mary Lanning hospital (sic) in Hastings, were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Martin's church (sic) of Deweese. Burial was in the church cemetery. Father Anthony Trausch officiated at the Mass. The Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at St. Martin's church (sic) Svoboda was born in Clay county (sic) near Spring Ranch and resided near Lawrence for a number of years before moving to the Kenesaw community where he farmed for 27 years. He moved to the Glenvil community in 1946. Survivors are his wife, Mary; a son, Alvin of Glenvil; and his brothers, Joseph and Theodore of Fairfield.
