Bio

Mrs. Eda Resich Aschauer , 97, of R.R. 1, Riverton, died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday at the residence. She was a member of St. James Church, Riverton and the Altar and Rosary Society. A resident of Springfield until 1942, Mrs. Aschauer was the daughter of George and Mary Spitly Reisch. She was married to Dr. Henry A. Aschauser on June 1, 1909. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1944. A resident of R.R. 1, Riverton since 1942, Mrs. Aschauer was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marian Buckholdt, in 1972. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Edith Aschauer, at home; three sons, George R., of Racine, Wis.; Joseph H., of Chatham; and Henry A., of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Bernard and Mrs. Christine Meyer, both of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
