Bio

Walter S. Reisch , 69, of 1504 Lowell Ave., former secretary-treasurer of the Reisch Brewing Co. in Springfield, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at his residence. Mr. Reisch also served several terms on the Park Board. Born in 1902 in Springfield, the son of George and Mary Spitly Reisch, he married Helen S. Shonka in 1931. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 158 and Reliance Club. He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Miss Joan Reisch, at home; Sister M. Helen Reisch, O.S.F., assigned to St. John's Hospital in Springfield; one son, Walter G., of Jefferson City, Mo.; one grandson; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Franz, Mrs. Eda Aschaver, Mrs. Clara Bernard and Mrs. Christine Meyer, all of Springfield; and one brother, Carl M. Reisch, of Springfield. Services were held at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
