Mrs. Clara Reisch Bernard , 95, of 815 S. Walnut St., died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at her residence. A life-time resident of Springfield, Mrs. Bernard was the daughter of the late George and Mary Spitley Reisch. She was married to Emil L. Bernard, MD, in 1912. He preceded her in death in 1960. She was also preceded in death by a son, Walter, in 1969; and a grandson, Edward Lawrence Bernard Jr., on March 31, 1979. Mrs. Bernard was a member of Christ the King Church, Altar and Rosary Society, CD of A Madonna Court and St. Joseph's Home Coterie. Surviving are one daughter, Miss Emily A. Bernard, of Springfield; four sons, William R. Bernard, MD.; Edward L. Bernard, DDS, both of Springfield; John "Jack" Bernard, of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Rev. George C. Bernard, CSC, of Portland, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William A. (Christine) Meyer, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
