Edward L. Reisch , 73, of 706 1/2 N. 5th St., a former director of the Reisch Brewing Co., died at 6:20 a.m. Jan. 22, 1964 at St. John's Sanatorium. He had been in gradual failing health for some time. Mr. Reisch was born in Springfield, a son of George and Mary Spitly Reisch. He was married on Nov. 1, 1919 at Chicago to Clara B. Biermann, who survives. A lifelong resident of Springfield, retired 30 years ago. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church, Holy Name Society, Knight of Columbus Council No. 364 and American Legion Post No. 32. He was a life member of Elks Lodge No. 158. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his widow, Clara B.; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Franz, Mrs. Clara Bernard, Mrs. Christine Meyer, all of Springfield; and Mrs. Eda Aschauer, of R.R., Riverton; two brothers, Carl M. Reisch and Walter S. Reisch, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were held at SS. Peter and Paul's Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
