Bio

Margareta Marie "Maggie" Goblirsch was born on 1 November 1881, in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota, to Michael and Katharina Weis Goblirsch. She completed eighth grade. On 5 January 1903, in Renville County, Minnesota, Maggie married Alexander Evan "Alex" Arnold, the son of James Charles and Maria Ann Riddle Arnold, They raised their two daughters and lived in Vesta, Redwood County, Minnesota, most of their lives. The 1940 census showed them living with Maggie's nephew and his family, Arthur, Pearl, and Dorothy Hopman, in Vesta. Margareta Marie "Maggie" Goblirsch Arnold died on 31 July 1978, at the age of 96, from bone deterioration at the Wiener Hospital in Marshall, Lyon County, Minnesota. Maggie was buried, from the Presbyterian Church, next to her husband, in the Vesta Cemetery, in Vesta, Redwood County, Minnesota.
