Bio
Katherine E. "Katrina" Goblirsch was born on 19 January 1873, to Michael and Katharina "Katherine" Weis Goblirsch, in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota. On 24 September 1900, in Bemidji, Beltrami County, Minnesota, Katherine married Nicholas B. Heger. Nicholas and Katherine had six children: daughter, Madonna, who died prior to her third birthday; twins, Nicholas, who lived only two days, and William, who lived only one day, were born in 1902; George Nicholas was born in 1903, and twins, Francis M. "Frank" and Barbara Isabelle were born in 1905. After Katherine's husband, Nicholas B. Heger, left her in 1905, Peter Weathers came to live with her. Their daughter, Marie Heger, was born on 25 September 1907. Peter Weathers left Katherine in 1910. A marriage record could not be located so it is doubtful that Peter and Katherine were married. The 1920 Federal Government Census listed Bert Earnest Norris, the son of John and Anna “Annie” Colison Norris, as the husband of Katherine E. Goblirsch Heger. They were living in Green Oak, Livingston County, Michigan, with Katherine’s children from previous relationships: George, Frank, Barbara Isabella, and Marie Heger. The 1930 Census showed Bert and Katherine living in Freedom, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Katherine E. "Katrina" Goblirsch Heger Norris died, from myocarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart muscle, at the age of 58, on 22 December 1931, in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. It should be noted that Katherine’s Death Certificate stated that she was born on 19 January 1879 and that she was 52 years, 11 months, and 3 days old when she died. Katherine was buried on 24 December 1931 in Washtenong Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan.
