Brother to: Edward, Angela, Florence, Henry, Lloyd, Arthur, Lola, Dorothy, Albert, Christie Floyd Goodwin Floyd H. Goodwin, 82, of Cairo, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church in Grand Island. The Rev. James Schmitt will officiate. Burial will be in West lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 P.M. at Resurrection Catholic Church with a rosary at 7:30 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the family. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Goodwin was born April 2, 1917, in Halsey to James M. and Idella (Rayno) Goodwin. At the age of eight he moved to Grand Island where he completed his education. During the 1930s he moved to Harrington, S.D. for four years and then returned to Grand Island. Mr. Goodwin was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Grand Island. Survivors include two brothers, Lloyd and Albert, both of Cairo and a sister, Christie Holz of Central City. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Henry and Arthur and four sisters, Angela, Dorothy, Lola and Florence. GRAND ISLAND INDEPENDENT October 23, 1999
