Brother of: Edward, Angela, Florence, Henry, Floyd, Arthur, Lola, Dorothy, Albert, Christie Lloyd L. Goodwin, 88, of Cairo died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael McDermott will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the church followed by a parish rosary and wake service at 7 p.m. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Goodwin was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Dannebrog, Howard, Nebraska to James M. and Idella M. (Rayno) Goodwin. Survivors of his immediate family include his sister, Christine Holz of Central City. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodwin served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Goodwin was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Grand Island and the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd, Edward, Albert, Arthur, and Henry Goodwin; and four sisters, Angela Stauss, Dorothy Zlomke, Lola Potrzeba, and Florence Leschinsky.
