LEXINGTON — Eileen C. Wescoat, 72, of Lexington, died Friday, July 21, 2000 at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington. The Rev. Don Buhrman will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home chapel in Lexington. A Christian wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Reynolds-Love chapel. Mrs. Wescoat was born August 6, 1927 at Blue Hill to William and Adelaine (Himmelberg) Schumm. She married Willis Wescoat on Jan. 17, 1957 at Alma. The couple moved to Lexington in 1958 where she worked at several local cafes and haymills. She was later employed by Monroes in Cozad. She retired in 1992. Following retirement, the couple did yard work for people around the area. She enjoyed doing yard work and gardening. Survivors include two sons, Patrick and Michael, both of Lexington; four daughters, Maxine (Mrs. David) Vieth of Grand Island, Pam Wescoat of Lexington, Ruth (Mrs. Tim) Bohlen of Stockton, Ill. and Amy (Mrs. Pat) Tallon of Lincoln; two brothers, LeRoy Schumm of Lawrence and Gilbert Schumm of Deweese; four sisters, Alvira Kathman of Lawrence, Lorene Kline and Josephine Mangers, both of Roseland and Elizabeth Claussen of Glenvil; and eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, William; four brothers, William, Leonard, Sylvester and Joseph; and two sisters, Martha and Edna. Contributor: GLG (46814593)
