The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Friday, September 14, 1923; pg. 1 Married Wm. Schum (sic), son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schum (sic), and Miss Adaline Himmelburg (sic), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Himmelburg (sic) old residents in the neighborhood southwest of Lawrence, in Webster county (sic), were married at St. Stephens Catholic Church last Monday morning in the presence of a number of friends. The newly weds gave thier (sic) numerous young friends a dance at Parish hall in the evening which was attended by a large crowd. The Rosemont orchestra furnished the music. ∼ Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, May 27, 1993; pg. Adeline Schumm, 89, of Blue Hill died Saturday, May 22, 1993 at Bethesda Care Center in Blue Hill. Rosary was at 7:30 Monday evening with funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday both at St. Stephen's Catholic Church south of Lawrence with the Revs. Thomas Au and Leslie Stelter officiating. Burial was in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Mrs. Schumm was born April 18, 1904 in Webster County. She married William Schumm Sept. 10, 1923, at St. Stephen's Catholic church (sic). He died Nov. 1, 1964. She was a lifelong resident of Webster county (sic) and moved to Bethesda Care Center in 1980. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors are four sons, Leroy of Lawrence, William of Hastings, Leonard of Blue Hill and Gilbert of Deweese; five daughters, Eileen Wescoat of Lexington, Alvira Kathman of Blue Hill, Lorene Klein and Josephine Mangers, both of Roseland and Elizabeth Classen of Glenvil; one sister, Dorothy Alber of Hastings; two brothers, Mark and Norbert Himmelberg, both of Lawrence; 39 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
