Michael Dean Wescoat, 60, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on January 6, 2026, at his home in Lexington. He was born on October 5, 1965, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Willis and Eileen (Schumm) Wescoat. He attended school in Lexington and graduated with the class of 1984. He worked at various jobs during his life. He was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed watching the races at the Dawson County Raceway. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Maxine (David) Vieth of Grand Island, Pam (Mark) Rodriguez of Bellevue, Ruth Bohlen of Kearney, and Amy Tallon of Lincoln; his children, Michael (Amanda) Wescoat of Tooele, Utah, Kimerly Halbgewachs of Omaha, and Joshua (Heather) Bachman of Glenwood, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kristopher Linden; his grandparents, Charley and Gladys Wescoat, and William and Adeline Schumm; brothers, William and Patrick; grandson, Jaxson Linden, and great-niece, Caitlynne Bohlen. A Memorial Gathering for friends and family will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
