Roseland resident, Lorene M. Klein, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska. Rosary will be Friday, November 28, 2014; 7:00 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 29, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Roseland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Roseland Cemetery Association. Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014; 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to rosary and mass at the church. Lorene was born March 7, 1932 in Nuckolls County near Rosemont, Nebraska to William & Adeline (Himmelberg) Schumm. Lorene married Everett Klein on May 3, 1954 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, south of Lawrence, Nebraska; he preceded her in death on May 16, 1996. She worked in homes as a housekeeper, Mode-O-Day, and was a farm wife. Lorene taught CCD and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Sacred Heart Quilting Group. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Klein; sons, Robert Klein and Dennis Klein; brothers, LeRoy Schumm, William Schumm, Sylvester Schumm, Leonard Schumm, and Joseph Schumm; and sisters, Eileen Westcoat, Martha Karmazin, and Edna Hajny.
