Son: Jerry D. Oborny RUSH CENTER - Charles John Oborny, 70, retired fanner, died Sunday at the Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse after a two-week illness. Born Nov. 4, 1S95, in Schuyler, Nebraska, he moved to the Timken and Rush Center communities when he was 11 and remained there the rest of his life. 1. He married Mary Mazouch August 25, 1920, in Timken. She died August 11, 1932. 2. He married Elizabeth Hladik August 15, 1933, in Touhy, Saunders County, Nebraska. Member: Catholic Church, Catholic Workmen Lodge, and American Legion, all of Timken. Survivors: The widow; sons, John, Timken; Charles, La Crosse; Leonard, Rush Center; Larry, Hayes; Louis, Halstead; daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Nather and Mrs. Agnes Pechanec, both of Timken; Betty Lou Oborny, La Crosse; brothers, Joseph, Great Bend; Frank and Rudolph, both of Rush Center; Edward, Jerry and Jean, all of Timken; Louis, Bison; sisters, Mrs. Anna Jecha and Mrs.Tonia Stejskal, both of Timken; Mrs. Albina Mattas, Wilson; Mrs.. Blanche Baxa, Wayne; Mrs. Mary Stika, Marion; 31 grandchildren. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the church. Military graveside service, Holy Cross Cemetery, Timken, Rush, Kansas.
