Bio

LA CROSSE - Jerry F. Oborny, 86, died Sept. 26, 1992, at Hays Medical Center, St. Anthony's Campus. He was born Nov. 26, 1905, at Schuyler, Neb., the son of John and Josephine Jedlicka Oborny. He moved to La Crosse in 1982, formerly of the Timken area. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse, and Catholic Workman Branch No. 133, Timken. On April 11, 1934, he married Rosie M. Jecha at Timken. She survives. Other survivors include: a brother, Rudolph, Rush Center; and a sister, Albina Mattas, Wilson. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Eugene Kenny presiding. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Timkin. Memorials may be sent to the Holy Trinity Church, Timken, or St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse, both in care of Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse in charge of arrangements.
