Bio

John Francis Oborny, born 5 April 1864 in Znojmo Studenec in the province of Moravia Czech Republic. He died 10 SEP 1933 in his farm home, rural Bison, Kansas He married Josephine Marie Jedlicka 16 October 1887 in Pany Marie Church, Wilson, Nebraska. He was one of nine children who came from what is now Czechoslovakia with their parents. He had two older sisters, Mary and Frances. He had four younger brothers: Joseph, Frank, Charles and Rudolph; and two younger sisters, Josephine and Anastasia. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, south of Timken, Kansas in Rush County.
