The Wellington Leader March 4, 1982 A former Quail and Wellington resident, Arthur Glen Rankin, 81 of Olton, died Sunday, February 21. A member of a pioneer county family, he was born in Wellington, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rankin. He was married to Eunice Webb in 1924 at Wellington. They moved to Littlefield in the 1930s and to Olton 6 years ago. He was a retired farmer and member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; 5 sons, Glenn Rankin of Lubbock, Rudolph Rankin of Miami, James Rankin and Wayne Rankin of Canadian, Jay Rankin of Freedom, OK; 5 daughters, Jonell Lynskey, Nina Smith Lola Reed, all of Olton, Louise Withrich of Smyer and Little McCoy of Spade; three sisters, Ester Watts of Wellington, Pauline Shinn of Lubbock and Bernice Lane of Childress; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
