Bio

Wellington Leader February 17, 1983 Mrs. Pauline Shinn, 74, of Lubbock died Thursday, February 10 at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Wellington on June 19, 1908 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Russell Rankin of Quail. Her father was a Baptist minister. She married George D. Shinn on February 18,1928 in Wellington. They moved to Lubbock in 1976 from Perryton. She had also lived at Wellington, Childress and Paducah. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perryton. Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Jorene Hopkins of Odessa, Mrs. Glenna Wylie of Lubbock, and Mrs. Wanda Worthington of Enterprise, AL; two sons, C. Wayne Shinn of Odessa, and Ronald R. Shinn of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Elbert Watts of Wellington and Mrs. Weldon lane of Childress; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandson; also several nieces and nephews in the Childress-Wellington area.
