Obit-Gonzales Inquirer May 1970 Henry Kocurek Rites Tommorrow Funeral services for Henry Kocurek, who died in t he Holmes Community Hospital Thursday at 7:25 p.m., will be held Saturday, May 16, at 10:45 a.m. in the Seydler-Hill Chapel and 11 a.m. in the St. James Catholic church with Seydler-Hill in charge of arrangments. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight in the chapel. Father Wenzel Lieb will officiate with interment to be in the Gonzales Memorial Park. Mr. Kocurek was born March 9, 1892 in Praha, the son of Joe Kocurek and Vera Dabez. On November 11, 1912, he married Mary Hrnirk who survives him. Survivors, besides his widow, include two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Schautteet of Gonzales and Mrs. Mary Collins of Victoria; two sons, Emil J., Huntsville, and Joe H. of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Hlanak, Houston, and Miss Christine Kocurek of Gonzales and one brother, Joe, also of Gonzales. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alex, Julius and John and one grandson, Louis Schautteet Jr. who died in Vietnam, January, 8, 1968. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephes, Larry Kocurek, Joe Alvin Kocurek, Roger Schautteet, David Schautteet, Rudy Hrncirik Jr. and Steve Hrneirik.
