Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 17, 1963 John Kocurek Funeral Services Held Sunday Last rites were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for John Kocurek, who died at the Nixon Nursing Home Saturday. Services were conducted from the Baker Funeral Home. Elder Emanuel Griffin was in charge of the services with burial taking place in Gonzales Memorial Park. Herbert Pounds of the American Legion assisted with the graveside rites. Mr. Kocurek was born in Fayette county on August 1, 1888, the son of Joe and Vera Dabez Kocurek, natives of Moravia. He had lived most of his life in Gonzales county where he was a farmer. Survivors include one sister, Miss Christine Kocurek, and three brothers, Henry, Joe and Julius Kocurek, all of Gonzales.
