Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Apr. 24, 1978 Kocurek Services Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Chapel for Emil-(Sarge) Kocurek who died at 11:15 p.m. Friday in the VA Hospital in Houston. The Rev. Michael Boulette of the St. James Catholic Parishes, officiated at the rites with burial in Gonzales Memorial Park. Mr. Kocurek was born in Gonzales County on August 25, 1925, the son of Henry and Mary Hrncirik Kocurek, natives of Fayette and Lavaca counties respectively. He was a life member of the Catholic Church, a farmer and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and as a corporal in the US Army . Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Ann) Glover of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Carl (Gloris) Baker of Aransas; six grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Grady (Mary) Collins of Victoria and one brother, Joe Kocurek of Austin. Pallbearers were Larry and John Kocurek, Don Ringer, David Schauttet, Rudy and Steve Hrncirik.
