Bio

Lee Roy was born in September 1899 right at the turn of the century to Johnnie Jefferson Martin and Hattie Usher Dilley Martin. He was born on the farm which had been part of the family legacy for almost 100 years. Roy married a young woman who's family was part of the community Jessie Oldham, daughter of Samuel Y and Mattie Bell Mansfield Oldham. Roy and Jessie had at least 4 children; Maysel, Catherine, Roy Glenn and Laurice Helen.
