Bio

Herald Coaster, November 24, 1971: Funeral services were held today for Mrs. Frances Steffek, 82, a Needville resident who died Monday in Polly Ryon Hospital. Rosary was recited Tuesday night at the Triska Chapel in Needville. Services were held at 1:45 p.m. today at the chapel, followed by mass at St. Michael's, with Rev. Luden Angelle officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, John; sons, John Jr. of Lake Jackson, Victor of El Campo, Emil of Freeport, Jerry of Needville; daughters, Mrs. Paul Zwahr of Fairchild, Marcella Steffek of Rosenberg, Cecilia Steffek, Mrs. Robert Martin, Mrs. A.C. Skellie, and Mrs. Dale Whittington, all of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Louis Janicek of Needville and Mrs. Annie Bartosh of Rosenberg; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
